Do you enjoy pasta? Regularly crave authentic Fettuccine Alfredo? I’ve got the easiest most luscious recipe for Alfredo that will have you transported to the land of Pasta in no time…
The base of this recipe is made with heavy cream. It’s all about timing and slowly adding ingredients to create a thick and decadent sauce.
Start with Two tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Once the butter is melted, add one teaspoon of crushed garlic.
Add one cup of heavy cream to the saucepan and bring to a low simmer.
Once the cream mixture is simmering add one cup of shredded Parmesan.
Turn off the burner and mix the sauce until the cheese has melted.
Hopefully, the pasta that you’ve been cooking is al dente, drained, and ready for the sauce.
Pour the cream mixture over the noodles and mix until well coated. Add nutmeg. I know this sounds crazy, but this is what gives the alfredo that delightful “What’s this?” flavor. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add an additional 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan.
Serve with peas or chicken for an added flavor. Enjoy!
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 Teaspoon Crushed Garlic
1 Cup Shredded Parmesan (divided evenly)
1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Creole Seasoning, optional
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add cream and bring to low simmer. Add 1/2 cup Parmesan and stir until melted. Pour over pasta and add additional 1/2 cup Parmesan. Season with salt & black pepper to your discretion. If you enjoy a bit of kick to your pasta, add a scant 1/2 teaspoon of creole seasoning. Serve! Enjoy.
